Whilst Rattray's machines rarely seem to depart from the conventional. Frame No.23447 seems to have been one of the rare departures. Whilst the main tubes are fillet brazed ("bronze welded") to the bracket shell, the top / head / down tube and the top / seat tube joints, are quite unusual, using part-lugged and fillet brazed joints.
