Joe Meade, shown in the picture here and owner of the above frame purchased it from new. A successful Scottish club rider, Joe rode the 1951 Tour of Britain on it, and went on to become the 1956 Scottish Road Race Champion. Though obviously not on the Scot, Joe still rides around 200 miles a week !

A classic race machine from the period, this Scot is fitted with Cinelli handlebars & stem, LAM brakes, Supermax cranks with Simplex chainrings, running on a Bayliss-Wiley bottom bracket. The pedals are Brampton B8's
