This
photograph, taken on the North side of Glasgow in January 1947, does not
do justice to what must have been a beautiful looking bike.
Originally built as a pre-war track racer, the frame was completely chromium-plated.
It's owner in 1947 Alex Taylor, purchased it secondhand after World War
2 and set it up as a road bike.
Although he no longer has it, Alex remembers it was equipped with a Williams
Crank and Osgear 3-speed, Brooks B17 Narrow saddle, GB brakes & Major
Taylor stem with Maes type bars. Alex now lives in Bellevue USA.
