Scot Banner

FS 1366 - 1985

Side View
This must be amongst the first of the Flying Scot's built by M.Steels for Dales Cycles in 1985. Although it has "repainted" (it was originally white), the headtube transfer was retained, and is identical to that on the later frame No.5068. These were the only Scot's to be built and named "Flying Scot" curiously omitting the word "The" that constitutes part of the trademark owned by Dales. It could well be that these frames used transfers designed before Dales legally acquired the trademark.

Head
Seat

Note the use of the similar engraved top eye, that was a feature of the last of the Rattray's built Scot's. The only difference is that the name reads from top to bottom here in this case.
