Although production of The Flying Scot's at David Rattray's shop stopped in 1983, the name was purchased by the owner of the once rival Glasgow cycle shop Dale's, and production of new Flying Scots was resumed using Dave Yates at M.Steel Cycles. Although technically, these are not Flying Scots produced by Rattrays, they are still fine machines produced by a builder of some repute, and certainly worthy of the Scot name and tradition.
