1950 - 1954
The early 1950's were a boom time in the cycling trade. The first few years of the decade saw cycling use continue to rise, and production was in full swing to accommodate many first time cyclists. This is perhaps best illustrated if you consider how the majority of Flying Scots that turn up these days are from this era, some forty plus years later, and indicating just how many were made during this time.

Rattrays continued to develop the marque, and by this time appear to have established the 'Scot' as the machine of choice in Scotland, whether for touring or race.
